Facial aesthetics are increasingly becoming a part of the everyday, with people choosing to book in for a course of Botox, for example, in the same way that they would choose to have a manicure or pedicure. And with treatments evolving rapidly, this is a trend that looks sure to continue.

Today’s patients can choose from so many options, from dermatological treatments such as Botox, Dermal Fillers or Thread Lifting to cosmetic surgery or dentistry. Similarly, the range of professions that are offering facial aesthetics is increasing too.

These are obviously exciting times but the explosion of ‘medical spas’ also demands a truly symbiotic and multi-disciplinary approach if we are to optimise our treatment results and deliver outstanding patient care. The IAAFA is here to facilitate this new approach with a professional, ethical and harmonious focus firmly rooted in putting patient care first. It’s a two way process of course.

We’re here to provide support and guidance protocols for professionals, as well as being a vehicle for the best inter-disciplinary teaching in the world.
